Draw Cityscapes: Pen & Ink
Explore the energy and character of urban landscapes in this two-session, beginner-friendly workshop focused on drawing! Using a cityscape photo as your reference, you’ll learn how to capture streets, buildings, and architectural details while developing your drawing skills and understanding of perspective.
You’ll explore the fundamentals of drawing as you practice creating expressive lines, adding texture with hatching and cross-hatching, and using shading to bring depth and dimension to your artwork. You’ll also learn the basics of perspective, including how to use vanishing points, scale, and proportion to create a convincing sense of space and distance in your drawings.
Over the two sessions, you’ll build confidence in observing and drawing the world around you while creating your own detailed cityscape artwork. Whether you’re drawn to bustling streets, historic architecture, or charming urban corners, you’ll discover how to transform a reference photo into a striking pen and ink illustration.
Please bring a photo of a cityscape or street scene to use as your reference. All art materials are provided, and no prior drawing experience is necessary. Just bring your curiosity and creativity!
All supplies included. TMA members receive 10% off all registrations.
