Have you always wanted to learn how to make jewelry using precious metals like sterling silver, but felt intimidated by the cost of getting started? Working with real silver doesn't require a set up that costs hundreds of dollars!
In this two-day workshop, we will some of the basics of how to start working with Sterling Silver. You will create a chunky silver chain bracelet (7-8 ½ inches) using a medium called Silver Metal Clay. For the chain, you'll have the option to shape your links using a variety of techniques and texture on the silver. After firing the links, you will learn basic wire wrap, add semi-precious beads if desired and construct your own clasp. You’ll have options to polish to a bright finish, or patina to bring out the details. We will wrap it all up by learning finishing techniques that will make your work really shine
